These ASCO switches incorporate a
diaphragm-piston type pressure sensor or vapor-filled temperature sensor
transducer with a fully adjustable electrical switch unit. The modules are
mix 'n match, and can be field or factory assembled into more than 20,000
pressure or temperature switch variations right off the shelf. Pressure
ranges are from vacuum to 8,000 psig (560 bar); temperature ranges are
from -30° F (-22° C) to 640° F (338° C).
Constructions include:
- Fixed deadband models
- Adjustable deadband models with independent set
and reset points over the complete operating range
- Differential pressure controls
- Two stage types with two electrical switches
adjustable over the complete operating range
- Manual reset types
- Vacuum types
- Temperature switches with direct mount or
capillary and bulb sensing elements of copper or stainless steel.
H Series and J Series Pressure
Switches
These low cost, miniature
pressure switches deliver big performances in small packages. The
factory-set J Series is sealed with specially compounded epoxy that
maintains sealing integrity in harsh environments. They're vibration
resistant up to 10 Gs. H Series switches have field adjustable set points
and fixed deadbands. Their low cost makes them ideal for OEM applications.
Available open frame or with general purpose, watertight or explosionproof
enclosures.
P Series Compact Pressure &
Temperature Switches
These compact switches are most popular with original equipment
manufacturers. They feature ASCO's patented alternating fulcrum balance
plate to control the operation of one or more electrical snap action
switches. Fixed or adjustable deadband. They are available open frame or
enclosed in epoxy painted, zinc-coated steel or stainless steel. The
design allows for purchasing of complete two-piece constructions or
separate switch and transducer units. UL and NEMA approved.
S Series Industrial Pressure
& Temperature Switches
These rugged switches are designed for tough industrial applications. The
general purpose and watertight units have aluminum, die cast bodies with
formed aluminum covers to protect the electrical connections. The
explosionproof enclosures have die cast aluminum bodies and covers.
These switches are available in a
variety of constructions. The design allows for purchasing of complete
two-piece constructions or separate switch and transducer units. Pressure
switches are available for combustion service with UL and FM approval.
