Available with two operations:
Normally Closed
When de-energized, the pressure port is closed and the cylinder port is
connected to the exhaust port; when energized the pressure port is
connected to the cylinder port.
Normally Open
When de-energized, the pressure port is connected to the cylinder port and
the exhaust port is closed; when energized, the pressure port is closed.
Red-Hat and Red-Hat II Steam Valves
These rugged, direct-acting or
pilot-operated two way valves are suitable for heavy-duty steam
applications such as laundry, dry cleaning, molding, steam irons, steam
automization, steam baths, sterilizers and autoclaves requiring fluid
temperatures to 388 degrees Fahrenheit. Pipe sizes 1/8" to
2-1/2" NPT.
Angle-bodied Steam Valves
These auxiliary-piloted, 2 way angle
body piston valves feature an extra stable shaft with oversized bearings
for extended service life. They have been tested to over one million
cycles. Pipe sizes 1/2" to 2" NPT.
A preloaded stem seal and DuPont Dow Viton® elastomer
shaft "wiper" allow these valves to be used in aggressive and
corrosive services. The watertight actuator head is double-walled for
superior strength.
One-piece cold rolled stainless steel stem supported by oversized bearings
provide long life.
Fluid passes under the valve's seat to eliminate damaging water hammer. A
reversed flow version for rapid cycling steam applications is also
available.
The valves can handle back pressures to their full rating.
Fluids handled: Air, water, inert gas, oil, light slurries and steam.
