General Description
Solenoid Enclosures: Solenoids and solenoid operators listed in this series have either Red-Hat metal enclosures, or are Red-Hat II molded epoxy constructions identified by the change letter "G" in their catalog numbers, e.g., 8200G1, and are shown in red.

Standard Enclosures:
Red-Hat -- Type 1 General Purpose
Red-Hat II -- Types 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4 and 4X Combination General Purpose and Watertight.

Optional Features:
Red-Hat -- Types 3, 7 and 9 Combination Explosion proof and Rain tight. To order, add prefix "EF" to catalog number.
Red-Hat II -- Types 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 7 and 9 Combination Explosion proof and Watertight. To order, add prefix "EF" to catalog number.

Electrical: Standard Voltages: 24, 120, 240, 480 volts, AC, 60 Hz (or 110, 220 volts, AC, 50 Hz)

6, 12, 24, 120, 240 volts, DC (solenoid operators only)

Other voltages are available when required.

Coil: Continuous duty molded Class F.
Nominal Ambient Temperature Ranges: AC Construction: 32°F to 125°F.

DC Construction (solenoid operators only): 32°F to 104°F.

  1. Larger operators, orifice sized and higher pressure ratings are available. Contact  PSI for more information.
  2. Inserted seat has ¼-32 thread for threading into cavity.
  3. Inserted seat has ³/8-32 thread for threading into cavity.
  4. Cv will depend upon size and location of connecting passages.
  5. Maximum viscosity for 3 way solenoid operator is 45 SSU.
  6. On 50 Hertz service, the watt rating for the 6.1/F solenoid is 8.1 watts.
