Red-Hat
Optional Electrical Features
ASCO
Red-Hat valves are available with a wide variety of optional coil and
solenoid features. Most of these options can be included in solenoid
valves that are approved by UL, FM and CSA.
The options you desire should be
identified by the use of catalog number prefixes keyed to the coil for
the valve you are specifying.
To identify the proper prefix, use
the valve Series Specification Table (see specific valve you are
interested in) to determine the Watt Rating/Class of Coil Insulation
for the valve you are ordering.
Using the "Coil and Solenoid
Enclosure Options for Red-Hat Valves" table, find the option you
require in the left column, and read horizontally across the line with
your valve's Watt Rating/Class of Coil Insulation to the column headed
by the enclosure you desire. Add the prefix designation shown in that
column to the catalog number.
|
|
For
Example, to select the proper prefix for an 8210B54 valve with a Class
F spade terminal coil and open frame construction, assuming the
voltage to be 120 volts, AC, 60 Hz:
- In the Specification Table for
Series 8210, the Watt Rating/Class of Coil Insulation is 15.4/F
for Catalog Number 8210B54.
- Using the Coil and Solenoid
Enclosure Options for Red-Hat Valves table, find the listing for
"Spade Terminal Class F Coils" in the left column. Then
find "15.4/F" under AC coils in the next column, and
read horizontally across to the column headed "Open Frame
Solenoid" to find the proper prefix, in this case "USF."
To order, specify Catalog No. USF8210B54, 120/60. (Note: Always
include the voltage and frequency.)
