Red-Hat II valves are identified by the change letter "G" in their catalog numbers, e.g., 8340G1, and are shown in red. Standard Enclosures: Red-Hat -- Type 1 General Purpose Red-Hat II -- Types 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4 and 4X Combination General Purpose and Watertight Optional Enclosures for Catalog Numbers 8340G1 and 8340G2 only: Red-Hat II -- Types 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 7 and 9 Combination Explosion Proof and Watertight. Constructions: Sub-base Mounted: can be supplied individually or group mounted by inserting tie rods through holes in the sub-base. Up to 8 units, in any combination of single and dual solenoid constructions, can be grouped. Sub-bases have separate cylinder connections, and common pressure and exhaust connections at each end. Do-it-yourself assemblies can be made in the field. Group Mounted: Up to 8 units can be factory assembled or grouped by strong snap-on clamps which are part of a do-it-yourself field assembly kit supplied with each valve. Valves have common pressure connection at each end, and separate cylinder and exhaust connections. Dual Solenoid Operation: Solenoid may be energized momentarily (½ second) or energized continuously. Caution: Do not energize both solenoids simultaneously. Electrical: Standard Voltages: 24, 120, 240, 480 volts, AC, 60 Hz (or 110, 220 volts, AC, 50 Hz) 6, 12, 24, 120, 240 volts, DC Other voltages are available when required. Coil: Continuous duty molded Class F. Nominal Ambient Temperature Ranges: AC Construction: 32°F to 125°F. DC Construction: 32°F to 77°F (104°F occasionally).
